Training is the main tool for human resource development. One of the 10 main policy principles of the two cooperatives is training. Since the birth of the BRDB, the IRDP has been running training programs of beneficiary members. With regular training in education, health, nutrition, maternal health, population control, prevention of child mortality, preventing child marriage, raising awareness, skill development in different types of income generating activities, irrigation management, association management, social responsibility and values, environmental conservation etc. Going on So far, BRDB has provided training to 26.94 lakh members in various fields. BRDB has 3 training institutes, namely- a) Bangladesh Rural Development Training Institute (BRDTI), Sylhet, b) Noakhali Rural Development Training Center (NRDTC), and c) Tangail Female Development Training Institute.
Apart from this, 23 training centers (UTUs) in the upazila level are working locally to the beneficiaries. Besides, 394 Upazilas are being used as rural training centers. BRDB provides long-term training based on trade. After completion of the training, necessary material and financial assistance are being provided for introducing income generating activities of the trainees. In the current fiscal year, targets for training of 3.78 lakh beneficiaries and skill development are fixed; In the meantime, 278 lakh beneficiaries were trained till March,
BRDB Naogaon District trained on various product oriented and income generating activities of the beneficiaries, provided 7118 people.
